
Industrial Visit to Eastern Tubes Limited by DBA, BAIUST
On 16 October 2024 (Wednesday), the students of the 11th and 12th batches of the Department of Business Administration (DBA), BAIUST, successfully completed an insightful industrial visit to Eastern Tubes Limited (ETL) at the Tejgaon Industrial Zone, Dhaka, which was established in 1964 and is one of the oldest light manufacturers in Bangladesh. The visit, guided by Engr. Md. Faisal from ETL, allowed students to observe the production of Fluorescent, LED, and energy-saving lamps, along with the modern technologies in use. On behalf of ETL, Mr. Abul Rashed Ahmedun Nur (Manager, Sales), Mr. Sanjay Kumar Datta (Head of Accounts), Ms. Afia Ferdousi (DGM, Administration), and Mr. Kanak Chandra Dey (DGM, Commercial) provided insights into the company’s supply chain management, marketing strategies, distribution network, and financial performance. Additionally, a comparative analysis of product quality was showcased, allowing students to gain practical insights into market competitiveness. On behalf of BAIUST, Mr. Md. Shahanur Islam and Mr. Tawhid A. Chowdhury, Assistant Professors, DBA expressed gratitude to the ETL authorities for facilitating the visit and presented a token of appreciation in recognition of their valuable contributions to the students’ experiential learning.
