
BAIUST Hosts Insightful Seminar on National Budget FY 2024-2025: Challenges and Opportunities
The Department of Business Administration at BAIUST successfully organized a seminar on “National Budget FY 2024-2025: Challenges and Opportunities,” featuring Professor Dr. M. Aminul Islam Akanda from the Department of Economics, Comilla University as the keynote speaker of the seminar.
The seminar was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Brigadier General Md Habibul Huq, psc, PhD , who delivered an impactful direction and addressed strategic issues related to the budget. He emphasized the importance of students becoming good human beings to contribute effectively to the nation’s progress and successful implementation of the budget.
The Dean of Business Administration, Professor Dr. Md. Tahidur Rahman opened the seminar with a warm welcome speech, and set the tone for the seminar by presenting key highlights of the budget. Later, Professor Dr. Akanda delivered a comprehensive presentation exploring various aspects of the national budget, offering valuable insights and fostering a deeper understanding among attendees. Finally, the Head of the Department, Dr. Fatema Johara, provided the concluding remarks, extending heartfelt thanks to the university authority, keynote speaker, dean, faculty members, students, and the organizers for their contributions.
More than 70 students attended the seminar, participating actively in the Q&A session and a short quiz competition on the national budget. All attendees received certificates, and winners of the quiz competition were awarded gifts. Additionally, a crest was presented to the key speaker in appreciation of his valuable contribution. This seminar was a significant event for BAIUST, reflecting the institution’s commitment to fostering informed discussions on national economic policies and engaging students in meaningful learning experiences.
