Seminar on Analytical Skill Development Held at BAIUST

On February 1st, 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST) organized a seminar focusing on ‘Analytical Skill Development.’ The event aimed to enhance students’ problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills, crucial in today’s competitive world.

The seminar featured renowned education Professor Dr. Md. Kaykobad as the main speaker. Dr. Kaykobad, known for his expertise in the field, delivered an engaging speech, sharing success stories of Bangladeshi luminaries worldwide. His motivating address urged students to actively engage in problem-solving activities and participate in programming contests, emphasizing the importance of analytical thinking.

The seminar was presided over by Associate Professor Golam Moktader Nayeem, the Head of the Department of CSE. Brigadier General Md Habibul Huq, psc, PhD, the Vice-Chancellor of BAIUST, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The presence of esteemed figures like the Registrar Colonel Md Badrul Ahsan, psc (Retd), and the Dean of Electrical and Computer Engineering Mohammad Asaduzzaman Khan added prestige to the event.

In addition to the seminar, the Department of CSE organized a Math Olympiad earlier that day, attracting participation from 200 students across different departments. Dr. Kaykobad, along with other dignitaries, distributed prizes among the winners, encouraging academic excellence and mathematical prowess.

Furthermore, Dr. Kaykobad conducted a special session in the evening with competitive programmers from BAIUST, offering valuable insights and guidance to enhance their skills further.

The seminar served as a platform for students to enrich their analytical abilities and foster a spirit of intellectual curiosity, reflecting BAIUST’s commitment to holistic education and skill development.
