Celebration of World Environment Day, 2023 in BAIUST

5 June 2023, World Environment Day, 2023, was celebrated in BAIUST. As a part of this Celebration, BAIUST Law Club has arranged a seminar on “Plastics and Environmental Pollution: Key Challenges and Way Forward for Bangladesh”. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Md. Nayem Alimul Hyder, Head of the Law Department. The Keynote speaker was Dr Masrur Salekin sir, a Hardiman Research Scholar, The National University of Ireland Galway and Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bangladesh Judicial Service. The prime motto of the program was to make the students aware of the horrific effect of plastic on the environment and the challenges Bangladesh faces in solving plastic Pollution. Through the seminar the students were motivated and committed to protect the environment. The event ended with an interactive question and answers session and tree plantation.
